VOCO is an EdTech Startup based in Cape Town, South Africa. Our mission is to combat youth unemployment by partnering with South African youth to bring them career guidance and skills development opportunities through global corporate partnership.
While we work on rolling out our EdTech platform, we’re ensuring we reach our young people in other areas of their needs.
VOCO’s tutoring academy is hosted via Whatsapp and Google Meet to ensure widespread accessibility, at a monthly subscription cost starting at the price of milk!

What materials do students receive every month?
3 Worksheets
All worksheets are developed with tests and exams in mind. The questions provided to learners test the basics, but mainly target exam testing methods. We ask questions that allow students to reshape their perspective on problem solving.
2 Recorded FAQ Videos
Based on the worksheets provided, and the broader school curriculum, we collect questions from students. Our FAQ videos released twice per month tackle the most common and most challenging questions submitted.
Exam Paper & Video Session
Students receive one exam style paper per month totaling to 150 marks. These papers target all the work done for the year until that point. Our exam video session is substantially longer than our FAQ videos and takes learners through the most crucial exam questions.

Having both had the privilege of receiving tutoring throughout high school, we paid all we’ve learned forward as university tutors and community volunteer tutors.
We want to reach more young people with effective resources that truly make a difference in their marks. VOCO Tutor academy is our way of doing so.
From R35 per month, you’ll gain access to monthly high level worksheets, exam papers and videos on that content.
We’re working to expand to live class sessions, “how to study” workshops and more, all while keeping costs low for students and parents.

Frequently Asked Questions
We use paid Whatsapp groups to host the academy in order to make it as accessible as possible to every student. The software used to facilitate this does not provide subscription figures in ZAR, only USD. Your payment will be processed as normal though.
Subscriptions cost is based on the number of months your subscription has been purchased for. The more months you purchase up front, the lower the figure.
12 Month Package = R35 p/m
6 Month Package = R37 p/m
Monthly Package = R46 p/m
There is no difference in the materials your child will receive. The only difference is the more months you purchase up front, the bigger the discount.

PDFs and links will be sent to the relevant Whatsapp groups, along with access to a Google Drive filled with the materials for the year.

There is no catch! The VOCO mission is to position young people for global impact. That mission echoes into every project, service and product we produce. We’ve literally priced this as low as we possibly could, purely to make it as accessible as possible.
Absolutely not but we’ll try our best Sir/Madam.
The materials we provide are of high standard and we do our very best in our video session to make sure the concepts are fully explained, sometimes in more way than one so to prepare them effectively for test/exam season.
Please so what’s possible to ensure your child is able to practice their work 2-3 times per week after school and complete all the worksheets/papers before the videos/memos are released.

Cancel at anytime, penalty free. We do not provide refunds.
Please note e.g: If you cancel the subscription for whatever reason in month 2, but you’ve paid for 6 months, you will not be refunded the remaining 4 months.
If a parent or child is found to be distributing VOCO materials to students not subscribed to the service, they will be immediately removed and banned for life from all VOCO products, services and projects.

Great question! In school holiday months, students will have received extra materials in the previous month, which would be during the exam period. In the holiday month, students will also receive revision materials which will be revisited once they are back at school.
